This past weekend, Carolynn and I visited with friends for lunch and shopping. We had such a great time! After leaving, I was thinking about how grateful I am for my friends and how I hope Carolynn can find friends that will encourage her and stick with her through the years. Jennifer told me once that her mom told her, "If you find one great friend in your life, consider yourself lucky." -So true!
"Many O Lord, my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, ...they would be too many to declare." Psalms 40:5

My Cup Runneth Over
So, my first blog post...In the spirit of the season, I thought I should share what I am so thankful for.
This morning I woke up to Carolynn hollering at me over the monitor. No, not crying, hollering- "Aaah! Aaah!" She has found her voice and the last two very early mornings has woken me up with it. When I went in to get her, I said, "Good Morning little girl". She grinned that precious, toothless grin from ear to ear. Oh, what a little dear. I am in love with this girl.
After I fed her, we went in to play with daddy for a little while before he had to leave for work. Oh my, Carolynn loves her daddy. She was smiling at everything he said and did. She was "oohing" and making all her precious sounds. It's been fun to see Brian in this new way, a daddy. He is so great at it.
I keep trying to catch her on video "talking", but anytime I put the camera on her she just stares at it and stops whatever adorable thing she's doing. I will keep trying...
This morning, the old saying, "my cup runneth over" keeps coming to mind (I think it's from the 23rd Psalm). I am so grateful for such a sweet baby, and a great husband that lets me stay home to be with her and see every precious second. Carolynn has so many people that love her so much. I am full of thanks.
